Equiplast presented a schedule of activities and seminars focused on showcasing the new developments and solutions to accelerate the circularity of plastic.

Industry Showcase
A knowledge area shared with Expoquimia that explained the experiences and success stories of sectors using the solutions of the chemical and plastics industry. Each day was devoted to a monographic theme: hydrogen, the circular economy, digitisation and technology transfer. The most interesting sessions for the industry were related to the circularity of plastic, new materials and the development of projects and technologies to promote it.
An invitation to rethink plastic and discover its transformational potential with this exhibition displaying more than twenty everyday objects, including backpacks, containers, furniture, furnishings, pallets, films, dumbbells, mobile phone cases and waste bins made from plastic that’s fully recycled and biodegradable or renewable sources.
The uses and developments of sustainable composites, functional coatings, paints and advanced materials for the new mobility were the major topics that were debated at this technical seminar bringing together almost a hundred professionals from the car, aeronautical and railway industries and auxiliary component companies.
Tech Transfer & Innovation Area
An area devoted to technology transfer in partnership with Expoquimia featuring a dozen spin-offs, startups and European research projects linked to new materials, nanotechnology, renewable energies and the circular economy. All of them presented their developments and business models to potential customers and investors in elevator pitch format.

The plastics and chemical industries big night
More than 600 senior executives and representatives of leading companies and entities in the Spanish plastics and chemical industry filled the Oval Room of the National Art Museum of Catalonia at the first Expoquimia Gala Dinner. At this exclusive business event, the chemical industry advocated its commitment to sustainability and its key role in the green and digital transition of the planet’s economy and called for a favourable regulatory framework to undertake the necessary investments for the above.
Presentation on the plastic industry report in Spain
A sectoral radiography promoted by Equiplast to highlight the transversal nature and economic contribution of the plastic industry and outline its future trends. The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the MaketAAD consultancy firm responsible for the study and the Spanish Plastics Center (CEP)
Equiplast Fest
An afterwork open to exhibitors and visitors at the fair that led to meetings and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere enlivened by cocktails and live music.
Tribute to companies
Equiplast reconoció la trayectoria de varias empresas, entidades y personas vinculadas al mundo del plástico en un acto de homenaje sectorial. ANARPLA, CargoFlet Blasant, Tecni Plasper, Equifab, Centrotécnica C.T. Servicio, Sepro Robótic y Helmut Roegele recibieron una distinción especial con motivo de sus aniversarios.

Marketplace of innovative solutions in circular economy
ACCIÓ organised different activities to present the solutions of different chemical companies responding to challenges such as chemical recycling, the recovery of critical raw materials, the capture and use of CO2 and the generation of alternative clean energies.

More than 150 purchasing professionals gathered at this meeting organised by AERCE to discuss issues related to sustainability in the supply chain, the digitisation of processes and cooperation with suppliers, as well as the impact of ESG strategies on the purchasing departments of companies and entities.

OCS Actúa: join the commitment to zero pellet loss
A seminar organised by ANAIP, AEQT y Plastics Europe on Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS), a global initiative promoted by the plastics industry to prevent the inadvertent release of plastic particles (chippings, flakes, dust) into the environment in any of the stages of the plastics value chain: Production, handling, transport, transformation and recycling. Good practices were explained and the zero pellet loss platform promoted by the AEQT in the Tarragona area was presented.

Innovation in Chemical Recycling in Spain: Banking on a circular future
A seminar organised by Plastics Europe together with Aimplas, Feique and SusChem to address the environmental and economic evaluation of the chemical recycling of plastic waste and the RDI potential of Spain in these technologies required for circularity.
